Alison Krauss

The first surge of popular recognition came from bluegrass singer Alison Krauss in 1990 when at age 19, she walked away at the Grammy Awards with the trophy for Best Bluegrass Album. It was a remarkable feat and not only because Krauss was young but also because I've Got That Old Feeling was the third album in her catalog. Too Late To Cry is her first album. It debuted in Champaign Illinois when Krauss was at the age of 16. At 14, she signed an agreement for her debut album with Rounder Records - one of the world's most respected folk-based labels. The accomplishments of Krauss's talent so young as well as her amazing virtuosity have always been in awe of her dedication to bluegrass, the oldest and most overlooked, of traditional American musical forms. Krauss at one time an incredibly talented teenager, has matured into a musician and producer. Alison Alison Alison
