
Suzanne Pleshette was an American actress, voice, and film actor. She was born on January 31, 1937 until January 19th, 2008. Pleshette began her acting career in the theatre and she appeared in films in the late 1950s. She was later featured in a number of notable films, including Rome Adventure (1962), Alfred Hitchcock's The Birds (1963), or Spirited Away (192001). From 1972 until 1978, Pleshette appeared regularly on a variety of TV productions. She also played Emily Hartley, which earned her numerous Emmy Award nominations. Pleshette was born on January 31, 1937, in the New York City neighborhood of Brooklyn Heights, to Geraldine (nee Kaplan)[1] and Eugene Pleshette. Her parents were Jewish and were immigrants from Russia or Austria-Hungary. She was the daughter of Geraldine Rivers, a performer and dancer. Her father was a stage manager in both the Paramount Theater as well as the Paramount Theater in Manhattan.
